        Kurt was born into a military family and had the opportunity to live across the United States and abroad before deciding to settle in the Kansas City metropolitan area. He attended the University of Kansas and was awarded degrees in Economics and Political Science. After graduation, Kurt held corporate finance positions at Sprint and Transamerica. 

      Kurt resigned from his corporate finance position and pursued a law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he was the Business Manager for the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy and was awarded the Medal of Excellence during the American College of Trial Lawyers National Moot Court Competition. Kurt was an assistant to the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas and an associate attorney prior to founding his own law firm.

      Kurt is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Kansas and Missouri. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kansas and Missouri Bar Associations, the Johnson County Bar Association, and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.

    Kurt is happily married to his wife, Josephine, has a nine year old daughter, Chandler, and twin one-year old boys, Aiden and Carter. When not at the office, Kurt and Josephine enjoy spending time with their children, skiing, golfing, racquetball, and regular exercise.
